As we near 11:01 p.m. Lambeau Time, the Green Bay Packers have a pair of decisions to make. At 11:01, the Packers can reduce the RFA tenders made to safety Atari Bigby and cornerback Tramon Williams to 110 percent of the 2009 salaries for each player. The Packers reportedly sent letters to those two – along [...] So, it’s mid-June. There’s a bit of NFL activity (minicamps, OTAs, arrests, blanket apologies, trial delays, accusations, etc.) but overall it’s pretty quiet. What better time to roll out OBOD’s first ever power rankings, right? Absolutely! The NFL odds for the 2010 season have long been up. And about a month ago, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King gave his power rankings [...] By targeting defensive line and safety with Green Bay’s day two selections, Thompson showed he has much more confidence in his team’s outside linebackers and corners than most fans/analysts [...] Thompson traded up 15 spots to get him, trading pick #86 (third round) and #122 (fourth) to Philadelphia for pick #71. Second straight year Thompson made a significant trade up in the top three rounds and you can’t blame him here, Burnett can ball. [...] As I write this, we sit on the eve of the 2010 NFL Draft. Holy crap. That being the case, it’s time for me to put on my Ted Thompson cap and pretend I’m running the draft room in Green Bay. Yeah, this should be fun. Before we tee this thing off, a few ground rules: I am not going to [...] Now that doesn’t mean I agree with everything he does. But at the end of the day, I’m glad he’s running the show over at 1265 Lombardi [...] Sorting out the mess along the offensive line must be the Green Bay Packers’ top priority this offseason. Untangling the situation at cornerback is not far behind, though. Now it is true that Green Bay is better off at corner than o-line as of right now. Still, age, injuries and unknowns permeate the group and the Packers must [...] So, we’ve just about covered the current in-house situation for the Green Bay Packers with regards to their upcoming free agents and the players who could be released. But what about some players, currently on other teams, who might be able to help the Pack next season? That’s the focus of the final part of our post-season, pre-draft to-do [...] The Packers have the group they want to go to war with. But it’s not quite the group a lot of us thought it would be.
