Most of the time, coaches take more blame than is appropriate. After all, coaches don’t block, tackle, fumble or grab facemasks. The players do that, so they’re ultimately more responsible than guys with headsets, bad comb-overs and beer guts. Most of the time. Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia was not one of those times. Atrociously bad coaching in all three phases [...] Happy Thanksgiving, all — we’re back with another Ol’ Bag of Donuts podcast, recapping the win over the Vikings (and taking some time to mock them), previewing Sunday’s big tilt with the Falcons, answering some reader questions and placing another call to our good friend, disgraced former Green Bay Packers coach Mike Sherman. Check it out [...] Yeah, yeah, I know – everyone writes posts like these around this time of year. But, frankly, Scarlett, I don’t give a damn. I’m writing one, anyways. The Green Bay Packers, as always, give us plenty to be thankful for. But what, in particular? Well, let’s get to some things now. I’m thankful for Dom Capers. The job [...] I was going to wait until later tonight to post my thoughts. Sorry, I couldn’t wait. The Green Bay Packers’ 9-0 win over the New York Jets was just too sweet (don’t worry, I’ll be back with more later this evening, anyways). Here are my quick thoughts on the win, in no particular order: Roughly two hours after [...] For a good portion of Monday, I found myself thinking about what Sunday night meant to me. Namely, I was trying to find the primary emotion I was feeling following the Green Bay Packers’ heart-stopping 28-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field. Was it jubilation? Relief? Vindication? In some ways, I could say “yes” to all three. Emphatically, in [...] As I sit down to write this, the clock has just struck 12:37 a.m. In other words, I’ll be keeping this one brief (don’t worry – we’ll have a whole lot more reaction to this one later today). Here are some quick thoughts on the Green Bay Packers’ 28-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night [...] We’re back at it with our weekly podcast, armed with an ever-increasing jingle bank and plenty of insults for Brett Favre as he prepares to invade Lambeau Field again. There might even be a visit in store from former Packers coach Mike Sherman! And of course, we break down the Packers’ loss to the Miami [...] And Vikings week, chapter one (technically, chapter three) has officially begun. That being the case, there’s quite a bit of news surrounding the Green Bay Packers, a team that’s lost three of four and desperately needs to right the ship.
