Here is the second (and final) part of our update on the seven major position battles still going on with the Green Bay Packers. Part one covered backup quarterback, No. 3 running back and fullback. I mean, I know it’s Friday [...] (As I type this, a backup punter for the Tennessee Titans has just taken a fake punt to the house for the first score of the preseason. Football’s back! It’s baaaaaack!!) With the Green Bay Packers just over a week into training camp – nine practices, to be exact – it seemed like a good time [...] Like the Green Bay Packers, we at OBOD decided to take yesterday off. We didn’t do much – you know, went to Home Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond. Actually, a pretty nice little Wednesday. Now it’s time to get back in the kitchen – and by kitchen I mean my couch – and give you your [...] We at OBOD – Adam, Gene and myself – are not credentialed members of the media, meaning we don’t have access to the team. We don’t live in Green Bay – sorry, cats out of the bag – so we aren’t able to watch training camp practices live. That’s because, well, most of the major pre-camp battles exist on that side of the ball. By our count, there are only two that exist in the areas of defense and special teams – one in each, in fact.
