We here at OBOD don’t give out gameballs. We give out donuts. And, with the Green Bay Packers improving to 5-3 on the season with a 9-0 road win over the New York Jets on Sunday, we’d like to do just that. Now. The Green Bay Packers’ 9-0 win over the New York Jets was just too sweet (don’t worry, I’ll be back with more later this evening, anyways). Here are my quick thoughts on the win, in no particular order: Roughly two hours after [...] I’m sure we all saw some of the Jets this summer, they were hard to miss. But how much do you think you really know about the Jets outside of the names on the back of their jerseys? Well, Brian Bassett of theJetsBlog.com knows this team inside and out, so that is where we turn [...] ANYWAYS, since Adam did such an excellent job talking about the Green Bay Packers’ selection of Bryan Bulaga – my two cents: LOVE the pick – I will focus my attention on the rest of the first round this [...] So far, we at OBOD have covered the hell out of free agency as it relates to the Green Bay Packers and the rest of the NFC North. (Okay, maybe we haven’t “covered the hell” out of it. But we’ve been good….solid….decent. Yeah, let’s stick with that – decent.) But what about the rest of the NFL? [...] Well, that didn’t take long: The media might not have big-timed Charles Woodson, the defensive player of the year from little Green Bay who beat out New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, but Jets coach Rex Ryan has already blasted the reporters who voted for Woodson over Revis. This from Ryan, as quoted by the Milwaukee [...] Get ready for a long line of postseason awards where Packers players don’t get the credit they should. The first such snub came tonight. Clay Matthews, the Packers’ revelatory rookie linebacker who’s posted 10 sacks, recovered three fumbles, forced another and made 50 tackles this season, finished third in the voting for the NFL’s defensive rookie [...] |
