Chris – what we should do next year is have a Packer Bloggers/Tweeters gathering during Fan Fest. Would be a good time to do it, relatively (compared to a game for example) cheap in regards to getting in and fun to hoist a few with the ‘virtual’ family, as it were.

I’ve never been a big fan of this type of film mainly because most have been glamorized beyond any reality. I’ll be interested in this film only because of DeNiro. The guy can do ANYTHING well. His passion for reality will probably include dental work to cause separation of his front teeth and we KNOW he’ll put on weight ala Jake LaMotta. He’ll definitely bring passion to a passionate role. And he’ll make the Packers look good.

This is regarding the Jersey question. My suggestion, go with a classic. After buying Verba and McKenzie jerseys, I soon realized buying jerseys of active players is not a good idea. I own a Ray Nitschke jersey and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on it. I’ve even had Bears fans come up to me and tell me it is a good jersey. The best part is I know I’ll never be ashamed of his jersey. His play will never diminish, he’ll never kill some dogs, he’ll never engineer his release so he can join a division rival. One of my friends and I turned his Favre jersey into a Havner jersey for this same reason. E.G., http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2PBbNXXlKE . In conclusion, don’t get a Matthews or a Finley, get a Nitschke or a Starr. I’m very excited to get a Packers 1920’s throwback this year.
