You didn’t think I was lying when I said the weekly NFL picks post was coming back, now did you? If you did, shame on you. That said, we at OBOD have made some minor adjustments for this year. Actually, they’re pretty significant adjustments. Great minds think alike (at least we think they are great), so Chris and I like a lot of the same teams this year. However, there are some big [...] We’re going to be adding a new weekly feature at OBOD now that the season has begun. Every Tuesday (the players’ off day) we’ll be running a column on the Green Bay Packers’ upcoming opponent for that week. It may or may not touch on the Packers at all, but sometimes, of course, it will. [...] Monday marks the kickoff of opening week for the 2010 NFL season. Indeed, it is a great day (especially if you’re off due to the holiday). What better way to begin such a great week than with OBOD’s 2010 season predictions, right? (Note: These are only my predictions. I don’t speak for Adam and Gene. Besides, I’m almost [...] I’m going to play a dangerous game in this space. That doesn’t mean I’m going to write 900 words on the Green Bay Packers’ 17-13 road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Thursday night’s preseason finale. (Though I will quickly say that I loved what I saw from Matt Flynn. He can hold down the fort [...] So, I’m watching “NFL Live” – why wouldn’t I be, right? Nothing screams “NFL!” like late June - and during a segment, ESPN’s Michael Smith, Mike Golic and Cris Carter debated which quarterback under 30 is the best in the league. Smith and Golic – not the Golic from “Saved by the Bell: The College Years”, as it turns out - both [...] It’s been a few days since we last checked in. Okay, five days. Our bad. With the week winding down, here are my thoughts on some of the major Green Bay Packers-related stories of the past, well, five days. Williams joins Jolly in signing tender; Bigby appears to be digging in Well, it appears as though cornerback Tramon Williams took [...] So, it’s mid-June. There’s a bit of NFL activity (minicamps, OTAs, arrests, blanket apologies, trial delays, accusations, etc.) but overall it’s pretty quiet. What better time to roll out OBOD’s first ever power rankings, right? Absolutely! The NFL odds for the 2010 season have long been up. And about a month ago, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King gave his power rankings [...] The idea of New York hosting the 2014 Super Bowl is becoming more of a reality everyday. As Don Banks of SI.com wrote today the idea seemed crazy at first, but now it may be hard to imagine of it not happening. Besides the weather, all the positives are there.
