The draft is a week away and we know all of you our scouring over mock drafts to look at every possible scenario for #23. Well, we want to make your life easier, so here is a round up of some Packers blogs, draft blogs and national writers’ thoughts of who the Packers will select in the first round. Lombardi Ave. has pegged DE/OLB Jerry Hughes of TCU for the Packers.
Over at Packer Chatters, Brian Clark is thinking safety with Taylor Mays, USC.
Yahoo’s Shutdown Corner blog thinks offense at #23 with OT Anthony Davis of Rutgers.
Draft King has the Packers selecting Davis, as well.
Bucky Brooks of NFL.com has USC’s OT Charles Brown going to Green Bay.
Brooks’ colleague Pat Kirwan also thinks the Packers will draft O-line first, but it will be Maurkice Pouncey of Florida.
Charles Davis goes defense with Missouri LB Sean Witherspoon at #23.
Pro Football Talk’s Evan Silva thinks the Packers will look at Charles Brown.
WalterFootball.com believes Brown will be the guy as well.
NFL Draft Blitz also has the Packers selecting Brown.
LA Times writer Sam Farmer had writers who cover each NFL team make picks and Journal Sentinel’s Bob McGinn chose CB Patrick Robinson of Florida St.
And finally the man who I believe was the first to have Aaron Rodgers falling to the Packers, Don Banks of Sports Illustrated has the team selecting Anthony Davis, calling it a “dream scenario”. We’ll see Donny, we’ll see.
