What was rumored Tuesday became official Wednesday. Ahman Green is a Green Bay Packer once again. Green signed a one-year deal with the team. Terms were not disclosed. Green and former Indianapolis Colts running back Dominic Rhodes both worked out for the team Monday. I’ll have a column expanding my thoughts on the Green signing later today, so [...] Well, the trade deadline has come and gone and it took any hopes of the Green Bay Packers getting Steven Jackson with it. I didn’t really hold out much hope that Green Bay would pull this deal off. In fact, it was more wishful thinking that anything else. You think I’m going to rip the Green Bay Packers even though they earned a fairly easy 26-0 win over an utterly punchless Detroit Lions squad on Sunday at Lambeau Field. I was the big guy wearing the A.J. Hawk jersey) and was too busy with family stuff to get anything done. I now have to drive back to Minneapolis. Once I get [...] So I know we usually run this thing on Thursdays. And, yes, I know it’s now Friday night. But I have a legitimate reason for this running late: I haven’t been feeling well. Mainly my absence was due to grad school, training to run a race and girls; and not necessarily in that order.
